A Third Perspective
While Chris and Greg have already commented on the same event, I find it necessary to add some of my own thoughts. Head Automatica was very good. The only thing I disliked about their performance, as mentioned by Chris was the large number of new songs that I am not familiar with. Contrary to Greg’s opinion I think Head Automatica is much better live then on their album. I dislike techno and fake sounding things, so it only make sense that I would like it more without all that nonsense. I have to say that the venue, The Crazy Donkey, is not a good venue for a concert. I did like how the stage was very high, it allows short people like myself to see what is going on, but this is damaging to the sound. Because of the venue’s small size, the sound waves bounce around and it often sounded very chaotic and ridiculously loud. I have been to a similar type place, Magic City Music Hall in Binghamton and I was much happier with their set up. As Greg said it was worth the money, but I have better seen many better shows for the same price.
On a side note I am going to do some cd reviews in the near future, meaning within the next few days. I am also starting an accounting course at Nassau Community College tomorrow, or should I say today. So, ill get around to it when I can
