okay we can stop whispering around cassie…
So Sheppard, Wodicka and I went to see Head Automatica at The Crazy Donkey and I must say it was an experience.
We pulled up to the place and right away got hit up for more money. $5 for a less than gravel parking lot, awesome…
After finally figuring out how to get into the place I realized I wasn’t as out of my own environment as I thought I would be. There was a mixed crowd of emo, punk, preppy and the general weird 30 year olds…
We tried to miss the opening acts, but we failed miserabely.
The first band was Mirror(?). They weren’t that good, but proved to be entertaining nonetheless. They had one of the best “whoooooooa” guys ever. Def could be a back up singer for any pop star out there. Then there was the guy who had to concentrate way to hard on playing bass to the point where he wasn’t even moving. And the lead singer was def having some epileptic siezures.
The next “band” was Caged. This truely was a fate worse than death. Any good vibe that Mirror had left was then completely destroyed by Caged. They were two white rappers that wore Lacose polo shirts, rhinestone belts, with the biggest wigga attidues I’ve ever seen. First of all WTF were they doing there? We assume that the were friends of Head Automatica. But they really were the most painful group I’ve ever had the misfortune of listening to. They had the worst flow ever, couldn’t understand anything they said, they sprayed people with water and threw bottles at us (which people threw back at them). They even stole some rhymes from Kane West songs. Everyone has the most upset faces on them when they were on. I excahnged many “OMG when is the pain going to stop” looks with people throughout the room. Yeah, I wanted to die. I would easily have paid up to 5 dollars to not have to listen to them.
This led me to my first emo revelation: The reason emo kids are emo and suicidal are because they have to listen to the worst music ever before they get to hear the people they want to. You see the beauty of my music is that all the bad music is completely filtered out. Whereas people of the emo scene must go through many bands until they find something decent.
My second emo revelation: The reason the all emo kids wear pants year round is because IT’S FREAKING COLD IN THERE.
Finally Head Automatica came on 1hr 20min after the people told they would be on…
Anyway I’m not going to list all the songs they played cause that’s not my style.
They were good, but didn’t quite sound the same as the Head Automatica that I fell in love with. They didn’t have any background techno music that they have on their cd. I thought it was the techno that made them really unique to other bands, but they were good noentheless, just a little different. Half of their set (greg used the word set?!?) was new music. Most of which I didn’t really like. Some of it was okay though. Yeah i guess they wanted to makeup for the fact that we had to listen to Caged. But I still thuroughly enjoyed them and had a good time.
In conclusion I think it was worth the money. It was def an experience that I had never had before.
Now, onto sky diving…

Thanks for fucking seeing if I wanted to go. Cause you know, I didn’t introduce you to them or anything. And you know, I have a car and all to get me to Farmingdale.
