Last night Greg, Gerry, some random people they know from work, and I went to go see Wedding Crashers. So, in this movie Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson play Jeremy Klein and John Beckwith. They are both childhood friends that decide to crash weddings together, so they can sleep with love crazy women. They have a series of rules to prevent problems, which they learn from a friend of Jeremy, named Chaz (Will Ferrell). After crashing a series of weddings, they take the biggest risk they have ever taken and crash the wedding of the Secretary of Treasury’s (Christopher Walken) daughter. They both wind up meeting one of sisters: Claire and Gloria (Rachel McAdams and Isla Fisher). John falls for Claire and drags Jeremy with him to the family’s summer home. Gloria tortures Jeremy all weekend John pursues Claire even though she is already engaged. I have to say that when I first saw the previews for this movie I was skeptical because it seemed like a bit of a chick flick, but it definitely does not fall into that category. It was hilarious and had everything a good comedy should have. In my opinion the humor was kinda like the humor in Meet the Parents with a bit of Old School thrown in. If you liked either of those movies, go check this one out. I give Wedding Crashers two thumbs up.
