People can you fell it, love is everywhere

Two nights ago, my father and I went to see the Allman Brothers Band. First and foremost I have to say that these guys are some of the most talented musicians I have ever witnessed. However, for the most part they are not the original Allman Brothers and are therefore not quite as good. Gregg Allman is still playing the keyboards and singing lead vocals. Butch Trucks, who is one of their three drummers, was the only other original Allman Brother at the show. Warren Haynes, who joined the band in 1980 plays guitar and sings backup vocals. Warren is also the founding member of Gov’t Mule, who I went to see in Myrtle Beach a few years ago. The other guitarist is child prodigy and nephew of Butch, Derek Trucks. He has to be the most talented guitarist of our generation, hands down. However, no one will ever compare to the late Duane Allman. It is just tragic that he was taken from the world so soon. Anyway, Dickey Betts is having a quarrel with Gregg Allman and he is currently touring with his own band, so he was not at the show. This of course meant no Ramblin’ Man. The only song they played that was written by Betts was Jessica. So, for the most part the show was decent. They starting playing at 9 and finished around 11:30, a bit short for an Allman Brothers show. There were two major disappointments, first Melissa was left off the set and second there was a 24-minute drum solo that seemed to kill the mood. Besides those slipups I would say I enjoyed myself. I strongly encourage everyone out there to see try to see the Allman Brothers at some point. This was quite an experience and I have to say that I was thrilled to see a band of their caliber.

With so much mention of guitar players in the last review I have taken the liberty to list my version of the best guitar players:
