So close

So work is ridiculous. I had to greet for seven and a half hours today. Being nice to random people who yell at me because they have to pay an extra two dollars for a giftcard that’s good anywhere that Visa cards are accepted. Suck it up, I don’t want to hear you complain. American Express costs more so just shut the eff up. I’ve been working like a madman recently. During the week I had a total of three () days off in a row, so I spent my time at home, hanging out with the people who got home for Christmas early [read: Emma] and those who still haven’t left [read: Jenny and Regan]. Who else do I hang out with? We made random trips into the city, saw the tree, drove past Regis, visited Marlene at Columbia, and had fun times. We also went to a Regis basketball game and explored the school which included climbing up five flights of stairs and ending up on the roof of the school.

The Australians that are currently in Garden City are pretty cool, although one seems to be a manwhore. But whatever, he’s nice to me so I’ll deal. One of them is approximately 6’6” and is “together” with a girl who’s shorter than me. That makes me laugh.

Finals are done on Tuesday. On Wednesday I’m going to Holy Rood to celebrate Pete Mirabile’s 21st birthday which occurred on December 5th. Wednesday is two years and three months since he passed away. I miss him a lot. As of Thursday I’m going to be home for good which exciting, even though I have to drive back to Smith Haven to work. I’m working on Christmas Eve which is way lame, but only for five hours and by the time we close, hopefully most people will have done their giftcard shopping. Although with the way things seem to be shaping up, I’m kind of doubting that. I don’t think I can handle another day of pure insanity.. which is good seeing as I’m working at seven thirty in the morning tomorrow for another eight hour shift. Ohhh, I’m excited.

So in conclusion, because I swear this isn’t an entirely pointless entry, if anyone needs to purchase a Simon giftcard, I’ll be spending the majority of my time in the booth in the center of Smith Haven, so I think you should come buy one from me. Who cares that Roosevelt Field is closer to most people, take a leisurely drive. I can tell you where anything in the mall is. It’s worth it, I swear.
