That’s right (Oscar nominees).
No majors nominations for King Kong. I think Greg hyped it (read: hyped Naomi Watts) too much.
Keira Knightley and Charlize Theron for lead actress? Ack. What is the world coming to? I mean, wasn’t Charlize recently famous for killing Arrested Development and starring in Aeon Flux? Shame on the Academy.

Screw you, you didn’t even see it. And it made Ebert and Roeper’s Top 10, so I mean how off could I have been? If only it had been an idie movie….

I personally thought that the acting was poor in King Kong, except for JB or course.
I is a complete crime that Walk The Line was not nominated for best picture. However, I don’t see how Phoenix and Witherspoon can lose for actor and actress.
I hope that gay movie doesn’t win anything. Why would anyone wanna watch a story about gay guys?

Oh, Sheppard…

I mean really there are so many tv shows and movies with characters like that in it. What are we teaching today’s youth? I am not saying it is not okay to be homosexual, but all this media is overbearing. We don’t need to have the idea of homosexuality shoved down our throats, especially at a young age.

Wasn’t it rated R?
And sheppard, we shouldn’t be shoving double negatives down people throats.
"I am not saying it is not okay to be homosexual, but all this media is overbearing."
What Sheppard meant to say was, "I am saying it is okay to be homosexual, but all this media is overbearing."

No, what I was meaning to say was: Brookback Mountain was the story of Greg Welsh’s life.

Umm, Greg, you didn’t deny the key part of that lame ass joke

Oh Pat, you’re as witty as ever.
Squirreler…

I actually agree with sheppard, but for obviously better reasons, Brokeback Mountain winning in the same year that L’Enfant came out is just awful. Even American films like Broken Flowers and Crash should have more respect than that garbage.
