“More and more, I can’t say no. So afraid of letting go.”

For this past week, I haven’t had Internet access in my room. As a result, I now camp out in the LaFortune Student Center for hours at a time. All for the sake of Trillian and Thunderbird’s Bayesian spam filtering.

The above lyrics might shed some light on my particular dilemma. Or, they might just be the lines from whatever song I’m listening to right now.

I want to thank Greg for his kind birthday post.

I’m not going to promise anything, but you might be getting some CD reviews from me in the next week or two. I’m currently reviewing Nine Black Alps – Everything Is for WVFI. I also ordered some CDs for my birthday: My Bloody Valentine – Loveless, Joy Division – Unknown Pleasures, Deftones – White Pony, Blur – Parklife, and Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins – Rabbit Fur Coat. I’m buying Blur because of Scot’s and Shaka’s persuasive cases below, and I’m getting the Jenny Lewis CD because I adore releases from former child actresses turned indie front women.

  1. Weezer lyrics are so good. Thus Rivers is the man.

  2. Jenny Lewis was a child actor?

PS. Jesse Lacey kicks Rivers Cuomo’s ass.

  3. Yea, you are no longer allowed to speak.

  4. I have a celebrity crush on Jenny Lewis.
